The X-Changer, A Detailed Look

The X-Changer is essentially a self-service kiosk that manages your Laundromat and services your customers.

	The X-Changer provides Laundromat customers with a friendly interactive experience in the laundry. It can sell and dispense cards to new customers, add value to existing customers, as well as allow customers to check the balance on their card. The Cabinet is a secure steel enclosure with access doors on both the front and the rear. All of the essential components as well as your collections are safely locked inside. The X-Changer cabinet has been recently redesigned with many enhancements from it's predecessor.

The new design now supports the use of a MARS Cash/Credit combo bill acceptor bezel. This new device allows the system to easily be retrofitted to accept credit and debit cards. All of the credit card processing is performed via broadband connection. This allows the transaction to complete very quickly and allows customers to choose the appropriate amount that should be transferred to their LaundryCard®. Credit Card feature is an optional upgrade
	The bill acceptor is capable of accepting any US currency up to one hundred dollar bill. It can also accept bills in any direction, face up, down, left, or right, this greatly reduces customer stress when inserting bills.
New Laundromat customers can get a card dispensed from the system. The card is reusable and once a customer has a card they can add value to it as many times as they like. The system even allows store owners to charge a card deposit if they choose.
	Once a customer has a card they can use the integrated card reader to check the balance on their card, likewise they can add value to the card. The card reader is the same card reader that is used throughout the Laundromat. This allows store owners that keep a spare reader to be able to use it in any of the machines in the store as well as the X-Changers.
An integrated speaker speaks to the Laundromat customer in either English or Spanish. The friendly voice helps customer with their transactions and can often bridge the language barrier that sometimes can occur when attendants do not speak the same language as the customers.
	All LaundryCard X-Changers have an integrated UPS or Battery Backup. If the system looses power the built in monitoring software will protect the system and keep power to essential components. If power is not restored in the designates amount of time, the system will be safely shut down. Once power returns to the system it will automatically startup again and resume normal operations.
